BBGR systematically checks the performance of its progressive lenses with a series of wearer tests carried out during the design stage before the product goes on sale.

During the development process, “double masked” comparative tests are carried out (where neither the wearer nor the practitioner know what lens is being worn). This is a scientific method for judging the performance and reliability of a new lens and the improvement made over previous lenses, without any influence from other factors (the same prescription, the same frame, the same material, the same coating, etc.).
